MEET THE FIRST OF OUR ELITE PLAYERS
CRAIG ROBERTS
AGED 15
WELSH INTERNATIONAL
I joined profootball4u when I was 12. In my first year my coach Alan Lord started to develop the areas of my game that needed improving.
Shortly afterwards I got injured and was out of the game for 6 months. Profootball4u put me on a rehabilitation programme that included fitness and nutrition.
3 months later Stockport County visited profootball4u and offered me a trial. The trial was successful and was offered a 1 year contract.
Alan offered me the chance to go on profootball4u personal player development programme (PPDP) . . . .

The programme was designed to improve both the technical and physical side of my game. The programme started with skills and fitness tests and after this a weekly grueling homework programme. You can see some of the exercises on the video.
After the eight week programme I couldn’t believe the improvement in my results. Since the PPDP I have been selected to represent Wales at schoolboy level, have appeared in Stockport Countys youth team and have just been offered a 2 year YT and a 1 year professional contract with the club.
I continue my development coaching programme with profootball4u every Saturday at the profootball4u base at Woodley Stockport.
